Texas Mother to Plead Guilty of Starving Children
Published on 07/30/2010
Abneris Santiago is reportedly going to plead guilty to charges that she attempted to starve her children and kept them in a hotel room for months.
She faces a life sentence for attempting to cause her children bodily harm.
She was permitted to meet with her 12 year old daughter in court on Thursday which sparked a tearful family reunion. This young girl along with her two younger brothers was rescued in July after they had been confined to a hotel bathroom for nine months.
The boyfriend of Santiago was sentenced with two 99 year prison terms earlier this week.
