Can I reduce the charge for my DUI case?

I was recently stopped for a DUI with a .08 alcohol level. Will I have the opportunity to have the charge reduced?

You mean DWI. Unfortunately, this & other websites use "DUI" which in Texas means a person under 21 who drinks & drives (but is under .08). Since you are .08, regardless of your age, the charge is DWI. Some counties allow pleas to other charges such as obstruction of a highway or reckless driving. Some counties have other programs such as Harris County has a DIVERT program which is like being on an intensive probation for a year and then the case is dismissed (which can be obtained only in certain situations.) You need to hire a lawyer to see what is available in the county in which you are charged.

DUI is only for minors and I don't think it can be reduced any lower, other than being dismissed. However a DWI is for adults, and sometimes minors, and depending on the County it can be reduced. However, you are going to need a good attorney who knows the county and how to swindle this gift from the DA.
